GoHigher Kentucky Modules

GoHigher Kentucky can help you choose a college, plan to meet admissions requirements and answer commonly asked questions. You can use GoHigher Kentucky throughout the admissions process, from the time you begin your research to when you're set to attend your school of choice.

• The Planner Timeline gives you a general guideline of the financial aid and application processes from the 8th grade through your senior year.
  
• The Freshman Planner helps you plan your high school education to meet college entrance requirements. It lets you track your high school work and compare it against admissions requirements of the schools on GoHigher Kentucky.
  
• The Add Your Counselor module lets your high school counselor see your myGoHigher account.
  

• The Comparative View lets you compare colleges by enrollment size, tuition costs and other factors.
  
• Campus Tours provides online tours of colleges on GoHigher Kentucky. It has statistics, photos, links to official campus sites and other information. You can find information about undergraduate schools or graduate schools.
  
• The Matching Assistant lets you select criteria that you'd like your college to meet. Once you've made your choices, GoHigher Kentucky will display all matching Kentucky colleges.
  
• The Distance Search lets you search for Kentucky colleges near a specific zip code.
  
• The GoHigher Kentucky Search module will search only the websites of GoHigher Kentucky colleges. You can even limit your search to the colleges in which you are interested.
  

• The Financial Aid Guide provides an overview of financial aid, including the types, eligibility and how to get it. It also provides a timeline for important financial aid deadlines and milestones.
  
• The Scholarship Search helps you find scholarships that match your skills, interests and background.
  
• The FAFSA Transfer lets you transfer data from your GoHigher Kentucky profile to the FAFSA on the Web financial aid application.
  

• The Online Applications lets you apply online to the colleges of your choice. You can complete and submit your admissions application from GoHigher Kentucky. This module also helps you manage the applications you're working on and the ones you have submitted.
  
• The Transcript module lets you release your transcript to the colleges of your choice after your high school or college has sent your transcript to the Transcript Exchange and it has been matched to your GoHigher Kentucky account. This module also keeps track of when you release your transcript to a college and when it is downloaded by each college.
  

• The Career Keyword Search lets you search for careers by keyword or description.
  
• The Career Information module provides an overview of the career center and information as to how each module of the career section operates and what they mean for students.
  
• The Career Key helps you find a career that matches your abilities and personality.
  
• The My Interest Finder helps you discover how your interests relate to the working world.
  
• The My Work Values Finder helps you dentify the work values that are important to you, and explore related occupations.
  
• The Career Matching Assistant will help you find a career based on your interests, skills, and preferences. Once you find jobs in which you are interested, the assistant will provide you with a list of related majors and colleges that offer them. You can add your results to your portfolio for easy management and future reference.
  
• The List of Careers provides a comprehensive list of careers organized by type.
  
• The Links to Career Resources leads you to internship and volunteer resources.
  

• The Student Support module provides assistance on technical problems with this website.
  
• The Frequently Asked Questions module answers the most commonly asked questions about going to college and using the GoHigher Kentucky website.
  

• Your myGoHigher account lets you maintain a list of colleges and universities in which you're interested. You can navigate GoHigher Kentucky viewing only your selected schools and can add or delete colleges any time.
  
• The Applications section remembers where you stopped entering your information. It will link you to all applications you currently have in progress for colleges with online applications on GoHigher Kentucky. It will also provide the date and confirmation number of your submitted applications.
  
• The Colleges section stores and lets you access any college you've added to myGoHigher from any other module. These colleges will be used in worksheets and tables in other sections of this site. You can add or delete colleges any time.
  
• The E-mail section stores your sent and received e-mails.
  
• The Profile section stores the information you enter about yourself. Keep your information as accurate and up-to-date as possible because will autopopulate your applications and search for scholarships that match your profile.
  
• The Recruiter lets you create and edit your academic profile, including your background and your schools of interest. Once you've filled out your profile, you can release it to colleges.
  
• The Events section lets you access your personal or college events on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  
• In the Careers section you can access any careers or majors that meet your specifications based on the Career Self-Assessment and Career Matching Assistant modules.
  
• The myGoHigher Freshman Planner shows you a summary of your current courses compared to the schools in myGoHigher based on what you entered in the Freshman Planner module.
