In addition to GoHigher Kentucky, you should ask counselors, teachers, and parents questions you have about college.

  • Talk with your guidance counselor about:

    • Going to college.
    • Courses to start taking in the 9th grade.
    • College prep, AP, IB, and dual credit courses.
    • Academic enrichment programs, including summers and weekends

    Remember, you'll have more options if you start planning now and earn good grades.

  • Prepare for the EXPLORE test. The state requires all eighth-graders in public schools to take this test.

  • Think about sports, performing arts, volunteer work or other activities that interest you.
